A LITTLE BIT ABOUT MYSELF...
Hi, I am Iveta! I’m based in London, originally from the Czech Republic, and I am a freelance graphic and UI/UX designer.
Having spent nearly ten years as a nanny, I am currently seeking to act upon my passion and become a full-time Graphic / UX/UI designer, as designing and user experience research has been something I’ve really been enjoying in the past four years.
Prior to that, I had discovered my passion for art - especially realistic fine art and have continued to improve my skills ever since. In 2019, I decided to expand my skillset and started learning graphic design. I studied graphic design with the Open College of the Arts, although I've been strongly drawn to UX/UI design since taking a diploma in the applicable topic.
Aside from work and academic study, I enjoy travelling, photography, music, working out, reading, experiencing new things, and constantly working on self-improvement.

PASSION IS ENERGY
Life without a passion is empty. Passion is everything... It motivates you, it fulfils you, it helps you to get through tough times...
There are so many people who haven't discovered their passion yet, some do not know what real passion is or how it feels, and I was one of them... until the moment I found myself being present, happy, and focused. I would describe a passion as never wanting to stop. You lose track of time... No matter how tired you are, no matter what else is going on in your life, you just keep going and all your worries suddenly disappear...
BOREDOM IS AN INSULT TO LIFE
One thing I can confidently say about myself is that I am never bored. I consider myself as a multipotentialite. I get very excited about different things, and I thrive off learn everything about them! I always seem to know what to do with my time and sometimes I wish there were more hours in the day to explore and learn everything I want to. My time is very precious, and I always spend it wisely, working towards my future and chasing my dreams.
OBSERVING IS MY FAVOURITE HOBBY BECAUSE IT BRINGS UNDERSTANDING
Not only in design but also in life in general, observing is very powerful. People can tell you lots of things, but it doesn't mean how they feel. Give power to observing and actions rather than words.
I AM OBSESSED WITH NATURE AND COLOURS
My greatest hobby is travelling. I prefer mountains and beaches over cities. Being surrounded by stunning nature and breath-taking views is what makes me happy, what makes me appreciate life the most. Our earth is incredible and not many people can see it. Nature is my biggest inspiration. Oftentimes I create colour palettes or mood boards from images I took during my travels. I love seeing all the beautiful colours and shapes nature offers. I love exploring new places and learning about the different ways people live. After all... LAND REALLY IS THE BEST ART.
REAL BEAUTY SHINES IN SIMPLICITY
Less is more... Not only do I apply this to my designs, but also to my life. A simple lifestyle means less consumption. A simple lifestyle means paying more attention to the important things like time, health, happiness, relationships, and meaningful experiences. Experience is what will stay with you for the rest of your life, not material things you soon forget about.
In design the goal is to use less to achieve an effect that's more than the sum of the design's parts. Features involve a trade-off. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
